HI SB3085

Authorizes the State of Hawaii to provide allowances for TRICARE Reserve Select health insurance coverage to Hawaii National Guard members activated for more than thirty days in state service who lack other health insurance coverage.

Extends TRICARE allowance eligibility to officers in grades O-3 and below, warrant officers in grades CW-2 and below, and enlisted personnel in grades E-6 and below.

Coverage includes allowances for the individual service member and their eligible family members/dependents.

Allows National Guard officers, warrant officers, and enlisted personnel to directly deposit their pay by electronic means to personal banking accounts.

Takes effect upon approval.
