Amends Section 558-7 of Hawaii Revised Statutes to clarify the default property designation for land trust beneficiaries' interests.

If a recorded instrument contains a provision designating beneficiaries' interests as personal property, that designation controls for all purposes under Hawaii law.

If no personal property designation appears in the recorded instrument, beneficiaries' interests shall be classified as real property by default.

Makes minor clarifying edits to existing statutory language, changing "shall become" to "becomes" for grammatical consistency.

Effective upon approval, with no retroactive effect on rights, duties, penalties, or proceedings that existed before the law's effective date.
