Establishes the Office of Gun Violence Prevention within the Department of the Attorney General for administrative purposes only, replacing the Gun Violence and Violent Crimes Commission.

Creates a director position (appointed by the governor) and authorizes the office to employ analysts, grant writers, and other necessary staff to develop comprehensive strategies addressing gun violence including suicide, mass shootings, and other forms.

Authorizes the office to collect and access relevant data from law enforcement and governmental entities (with confidentiality protections for identifying information), identify data gaps, and analyze data to build capacity for prevention efforts.

Appropriates an unspecified amount from general revenues for fiscal year 2024-2025 to fund one director position, one grant writer position, one analyst position, and operating costs including equipment for analyzing gun violence data.

Repeals Section 134C-2 (Gun Violence and Violent Crimes Commission membership provisions) and takes effect on January 1, 2042.
