Requires each Department of Education classroom to be equipped with at least one opioid antagonist.

Mandates the Department of Education provide or coordinate training for employees on opioid-related drug overdose prevention, recognition, and response, and on opioid antagonist administration.

Grants immunity from criminal prosecution, professional licensing sanctions, and civil liability to Department of Education employees who in good faith administer an opioid antagonist to a student believed to be experiencing an opioid-related overdose.

Appropriates funds for fiscal years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 to purchase and place opioid antagonists in all Department of Education classrooms and to train teachers and staff on overdose prevention and antagonist administration.

Takes effect on July 1, 2023.
