Appropriates funds to the Department of Education for expansion of civic education in public schools for fiscal years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025, including professional development and classroom resources related to Hawaii core standards in social studies.

Establishes one full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) permanent civic education resource teacher position funded through general appropriations.

Establishes one full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) permanent civic education resource teacher position funded through grant funds from public or private sources.

Takes effect on July 1, 2023.
