S.B. 962 Summary

• Defines "waiting room" in medical cannabis retail dispensing locations and restricts access to those waiting for or assisting qualifying patients, with prohibition on cannabis storage or sale in waiting rooms

• Allows dispensaries to display one or two signs (each no greater than 1,600 square inches) bearing only business name without pictures, and clarifies permitted manufactured cannabis products including edible products and pre-rolled cannabis flower

• Establishes medical cannabis cultivation site registry with annual registration fees for non-residential grow sites; limits grow sites to maximum 20 qualifying patients unless exemption obtained from Department of Health

• Clarifies supervision requirements for non-cannabis personnel at dispensaries and production centers, allowing construction and maintenance workers reasonable monitoring rather than full-time escort in areas without cannabis products
