Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism requested to collaborate with state universities to convene the Hawaii Creative Innovation Group with members from public and private sectors.

Group tasked with identifying pathways from middle and high school programs to career opportunities in creative industries and determining required facilities, equipment, and workforce development programs for fashion and music sectors.

Group requested to identify key partners and develop strategy to grow emerging creative sectors into new brands, music placements, companies, and value-added businesses in design, fashion, and technology.

Group instructed to outline investments needed for innovation facilities, programs, and incentives including education and workforce training, infrastructure and equipment, funding and capital access, export assistance for "Made in Hawaii" products, and supportive policies.

Report with findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation due to Legislature no later than twenty days before the convening of the 2025 Regular Session.
