Urges the Department of Land and Natural Resources to require all certified arborists in its employ, including contractors, to adhere to industry best practices

Defines "best practices" as adherence to the American National Standards Institute A300 Tree Care standards

Recognizes that certified arborists have an obligation to perform work meeting industry standards for planting, pruning, transplanting, fertilizing, monitoring, treating insects and diseases, and removing trees

Notes that trees provide multiple environmental and public health benefits including carbon dioxide absorption, oxygen supply, air temperature reduction, soil stabilization, water conservation, pollution remediation, and noise reduction

Requires transmittal of a certified copy of the resolution to the Chairperson of the Board of Land and Natural Resources
