• Requests the Department of Education to develop and implement a statewide behavioral health curricula plan for public school students in kindergarten through twelfth grade.

• Curriculum must include age-appropriate information on mental and emotional health, personal health and wellness, healthy eating and physical activity, safety and injury prevention, violence prevention, tobacco use prevention, alcohol and drug use prevention, and sexual health and responsibility.

• Department of Education must review and determine which courses will integrate the behavioral health curricula.

• Requires that only qualified health teachers are permitted to teach behavioral health courses.

• Directs the Department of Education and Board of Education Chairperson to receive certified copies of the resolution.
