Request that elected officials of Hawaii live within the spirit of Aloha, which emphasizes relationship-building, consideration, and kindness as foundational for good government.

Reference the Aloha Spirit Law (Hawaii Revised Statutes section 5-7.5), which codifies character traits of the Aloha Spirit for use by the Legislature, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, executive officers, and judges when exercising their power.

Acknowledge Hawaii's role in demonstrating to approximately 10 million annual visitors how culturally informed behavior and diverse peoples can coexist in friendly, non-hostile ways.

Direct transmission of certified copies of this concurrent resolution to Hawaii's congressional delegation, the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, each executive department director, the Chief Justice, and each county mayor.
