Urges the Governor and State to commit to providing culturally appropriate resources, services, and programs for Native Hawaiian individuals and families experiencing intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Recognizes that Native Hawaiians are overrepresented among individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities while facing disproportionate underdiagnosis, indicating systemic disparities.

Acknowledges that traditional Native Hawaiian family-based and communal structures provided effective care for vulnerable members of society, but were dismantled through historical injustice.

Affirms that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities have an inherent right to immerse themselves in their cultural identities and require culturally sensitive services and support.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Governor, Board of Land and Natural Resources, Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Department of Health, State Council on Developmental Disabilities, Board of Education, Department of Human Services, University of Hawaii System, and Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism.
