Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism requested to propose legislation establishing incentives for firm renewable electricity generation to support Hawaii's 100% Renewable Portfolio Standard by 2045

Department requested to consider incentivizing interested parties to pursue firm renewable energy projects for commercial development to ensure grid stability and long-term financial viability

Department must submit proposed legislation to the Legislature at least 60 days prior to the convening of the Regular Session of 2025
