Department of Health requested to convene a Twenty-First Century Data Governance Task Force to assess demographic data collection, processing, retention, and sharing procedures across all state agencies.

Task force membership includes the Director of Health (as chairperson), Director of the Office of Planning and Sustainable Development, Chief Information Officer, Chief Executive Officer of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, and other relevant members to be identified.

Task force must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the Regular Session of 2025.

Task force directed to dissolve on June 30, 2025.

Resolution addresses need for standardized demographic data collection aligned with federal standards that disaggregate Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and other Pacific Islander populations, and make data publicly accessible to support targeted programs and administration of state trust responsibilities to Native Hawaiians.
