Urges the Public Utilities Commission to investigate the causes of the August 2023 Maui wildfires that killed over 100 people, allegedly started by a downed utility pole, as required by Section 269-9, Hawaii Revised Statutes.

Calls for the Public Utilities Commission to formally open a docket to investigate the August 2023 Maui wildfires and submit findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2025 Regular Session convenes.

Directs the Public Utilities Commission to request unredacted investigative findings from the ATF National Response Team and Honolulu Field Office for inclusion in the Maui Fire Department's origin and cause report.

Urges the Commission to require each electric utility to prepare, submit, and implement robust wildfire mitigation plans and implement reliability standards and interconnection requirements.

Requests the Commission establish systematic renewable energy procurement plans including Distributed Energy Resources and utility-scale generation to replace aging fossil fuel plants and achieve the State's Renewable Portfolio Standards.
