Urges the Department of Agriculture to support efforts to improve the Aquaculture Development Program strategic plan, a ten-year plan designed to increase aquaculture food production and support restorative aquaculture initiatives in Hawaii.

Highlights Hawaii's competitive advantages in aquaculture, including favorable climate with natural biosecurity through geographical isolation, access to varied water temperatures for diverse species farming, and existing restorative aquaculture at Native Hawaiian fishponds.

Urges the Department of Agriculture to adopt recommendations made by Hatch Innovation Services in its February 2024 report on improving the strategic plan to attract more industry players, entrepreneurs, and investors to the aquaculture sector.

Requires a certified copy of the resolution be transmitted to the Chairperson of the Board of Agriculture.
