Urges the Department of Land and Natural Resources to require all certified arborists in its employ, including contractors, to adhere to industry best practices

Defines "best practices" as adherence to the American National Standards Institute A300 Tree Care standards

Acknowledges that certified arborists are obligated to perform work meeting industry standards and best practices for planting, pruning, transplanting, fertilizing, monitoring, treating insects and diseases, and removing trees and woody plants

Recognizes that trees provide critical environmental benefits including carbon dioxide absorption, oxygen supply, soil stabilization, erosion prevention, water conservation, pollution remediation, and noise reduction

Requires transmission of a certified copy of the resolution to the Chairperson of the Board of Land and Natural Resources
