Urges the Department of Education to supply all public school classrooms with Narcan or another type of naloxone by September 1, 2024.

Cites the National Institute on Drug Abuse data showing more than 80,000 reported overdose deaths involving opioids during 2020.

Notes that naloxone is an FDA-approved opioid antagonist that has been used for over 40 years by emergency medical services to reverse opioid overdoses and can be safely administered by persons with no medical training.

References Honolulu Revised Ordinance section 34-16.2 requiring various liquor-selling businesses to maintain two doses of naloxone on premises.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Superintendent of Education and the Chairperson of the Board of Education.
