H.B. 1095 Summary

• Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 356D-6.7 to expand the definition of areas that may be closed to the public to include all parcels owned by the Hawaii Public Housing Authority, not just designated housing project areas.

• Requires "Closed to the Public - No Trespassing" signs with letters at least two inches in height placed at reasonable intervals (minimum three signs per mile) along boundary lines and at all property entrances.

• Adds new subsection allowing Hawaii Public Housing Authority offices and facilities to be closed to the public during non-business hours with posted signs that include hours of operation.

• Takes effect upon approval.
