• Adds the Department of Taxation to the statewide longitudinal data system, enabling it to share data with the Department of Education, Executive Office on Early Learning, University of Hawaii, Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, and Department of Human Services.

• Requires any data provided by the Department of Taxation to be aggregated or anonymized to protect confidentiality.

• Extends the Department of Taxation's participation to the governance partnership that collectively oversees the statewide longitudinal data system and determines protocols for research and analyses.

• Ensures all shared data remains subject to applicable state and federal privacy laws and administrative rules of the collecting agency.

• Takes effect July 1, 3000.
