The Department of Human Services estimates the cost of providing income-qualified pregnant persons with health insurance coverage and twelve months of postpartum care at $1,364,000 annually.

Addresses the findings that approximately 500 pregnant persons in Hawaii are currently denied access to affordable health care due to immigration status, and that 24 states plus Washington D.C. already provide such coverage.
