Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 134-7(j) to impose mandatory sentencing on violent felons who violate firearm ownership prohibitions.

Defines "crime of violence" as the qualifying prior felony conviction that triggers the mandatory imprisonment requirement, referencing the definition in Section 134-1.

Requires defendants convicted under subsection (b) with a prior violent felony conviction to serve an indeterminate term of imprisonment as provided by law.

Maintains existing Class C felony penalties for violations of subsections (a) or (b), and misdemeanor penalties for violations of subsections (c) through (h).

Takes effect upon approval.
