HI HB150

Restricts firearm loans to adults who are 21 years of age or older and limits loan duration to 12 hours within Hawaii.

Requires that any adult borrowing a firearm must possess either a firearm permit under section 134-2 or own/possess a registered firearm under section 134-3, and cannot be prohibited from firearm ownership under section 134-7.

Repeals existing authorization allowing rifles or shotguns to be lent for up to 75 days outside of Hawaii without a permit.

Makes it unlawful for any person to intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly lend a firearm to someone who lacks a firearm permit, does not own/possess a registered firearm, or is prohibited from firearm ownership.

Takes effect upon approval.
