Establishes paid family leave of five days per calendar year for all state and county employees who work for at least six consecutive months with their employer.

Paid family leave is available for family care purposes as defined under section 398-3(a) and does not count against accrued vacation or sick leave benefits.

Employees receive paid leave at their regular rate of pay with no loss of seniority, pay, vacation, sick leave, or other earned benefits.

Effective date is July 1, 2025.
