HB 246 Summary

• Requires the Department of Health to post inspection reports for all state-licensed care facilities on its website within five working days of inspection completion, beginning with inspections on or after January 1, 2015.

• Inspection reports must include the inspection date, description of violations, plans of correction, corrective actions taken, and other quality and condition information the department deems appropriate.

• Reports documenting violations shall be removed from the website after three years from the date posted.

• Requires the department to maintain a searchable, sortable, and easily understandable list of all state-licensed care facilities showing facility type, license dates, renewal dates, expiration dates, most recent inspection date, and a hyperlink to the most recent inspection report.

• Effective date is July 1, 2025.
