Requires the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, in collaboration with the Department of Human Services, to develop and establish a social work training program for nonviolent incarcerated individuals.

Program aims to help incarcerated individuals explore professional pathways in social work and become eligible to work as assistants to licensed social workers.

Department may coordinate with accredited institutions of higher education, private entities, and nonprofit organizations to provide training.

Requires joint progress reports from both departments to the legislature no later than twenty days before the 2026 and 2027 regular legislative sessions.

Appropriates unspecified general revenue funds for fiscal years 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 to develop and establish the program, effective July 1, 2025.
