Beginning July 1, 2028, prohibits the sale of leaf blowers, string trimmers, and weed whackers that do not meet the ANSI B-175.2 class 1 rating.

Increases penalties for operating leaf blowers or weed whackers in restricted areas: $100 for first violation, $250 for second violation, and $500 for each subsequent violation (previously $50, $100, and $200).

Beginning July 1, 2028, prohibits government entities from purchasing leaf blowers, string trimmers, or weed whackers that do not meet the ANSI B-175.2 class 1 rating.

Adds "string trimmer" to the definition of restricted equipment in urban residential zones, with operating hours of 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on regular days and 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sundays and state or federal holidays.

Effective July 1, 3000.
