• Transfer responsibility for completing the annual report on Hawaii's public charter schools from the board of education to the state public charter school commission

• Require the commission to submit its annual report to the board of education for review and approval before releasing the report to the governor, legislature, and public

• Maintain the requirement that the report be submitted no later than the opening day of each regular legislative session

• Report must continue to include assessment of successes and challenges, federal funding breakdown, equity concerns, facilities funding criteria, and discussion of board policies applicable to charter schools

• Effective date is July 1, 3000
