Urges the Department of Law Enforcement, City and County of Honolulu, and Honolulu Police Department to partner with local businesses and organizations to create disposal programs for illegal fireworks

Calls for the United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Department of Law Enforcement, Department of Attorney General, Honolulu Police Department, and Honolulu Fire Department to work together to host fireworks disposal events on a regular basis

References a deadly New Year's Eve explosion at a Salt Lake home caused by illegal fireworks that killed six people and injured twenty others

Notes that a previous Department of Law Enforcement fireworks disposal event collected over 1,300 pounds of fireworks from 121 residents

Directs certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to relevant federal, state, and local officials including the ATF Director, Mayor of Honolulu, Chief of Police, and Fire Chief
