Designates the State of Hawaii as a Purple Heart State to recognize military members who have sacrificed in service to the nation.

Acknowledges the Purple Heart as a military decoration created by General George Washington in 1782 to honor singularly meritorious action, unusual gallantry in battle, and extraordinary fidelity in service.

Recognizes that the Purple Heart is awarded to military members killed or wounded in armed combat with an enemy force, as a result of international terrorism, or while held as prisoners of war.

Affirms Hawaii's commitment to supporting its active military and veteran populations and appreciates the sacrifices made by Purple Heart recipients.

Requires certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Governor and the Office of Veterans' Services of the Department of Defense.
