Request the Department of Human Services' Office of Youth Services and Juvenile Justice State Advisory Council to continue using aina-based learning programs for youth in the juvenile legal system.

Direct the Council to create and disseminate a list of organizations employing aina-based learning that courts may use to assign community service to minors in family court.

Recognize that aina-based learning connects youth to Hawaiian culture and the land, providing rehabilitation and healing while reducing recidivism and intergenerational trauma.

Note that Hawaii has already committed to aina-based education through the Aloha+ Challenge and has implemented such approaches at the Kawailoa Youth and Family Wellness Center.

Transmit certified copies of the resolution to the Director of Human Services, Executive Director of the Office of Youth Services, and Chairperson of the Juvenile Justice State Advisory Council.
