Urges the Department of Land and Natural Resources to prioritize restoration and protection of additional wetlands throughout the State.

Requests the Division of Aquatic Resources apply the same protective policies afforded to wetlands to Hawaii's anchialine pools.

Requests the County of Maui prioritize protection of wetlands, particularly in Kihei on the Island of Maui, over development concerns where feasible.

Identifies wetlands' benefits including wildfire and drought resistance, flood reduction, habitat provision for endangered species, and water filtration to protect coral reefs and ocean activities.

Directs transmission of certified copies to the Chairperson of the Board of Land and Natural Resources, Administrator of the Division of Aquatic Resources, and Mayor of the County of Maui.
