Requests the State Auditor to assess the social and financial effects of mandatory health insurance coverage for biomarker testing as proposed in House Bill No. 553, H.D. 1 (Regular Session of 2025)

Requires the Auditor to submit findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the Regular Session of 2026

Applies to biomarker testing used for diagnosis, treatment, appropriate management, or ongoing monitoring of diseases or conditions to guide treatment decisions when supported by medical and scientific evidence

References prior Auditor Report No. 25-01 which found no social or financial impacts from similar biomarker testing mandate (HB2223 H.D. 1), but notes that access barriers persist due to insurer denials and delays in medical necessity determinations

Directs certified copies be transmitted to the Auditor, Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, and Insurance Commissioner
