Cites Act 117 of the 2024 Session Laws, which transferred enforcement of the Motor Carrier Law from the Public Utilities Commission to the Department of Transportation, while leaving regulatory authority with the Public Utilities Commission

States that the Department of Transportation has more enforcement officers with greater statewide presence, enabling more consistent and effective enforcement of motor carrier regulations

Directs transmission of certified copies to the Director of Transportation, Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, and Chairperson of the Public Utilities Commission
