Request that the Department of Education prepare and submit a report on implementing aloha-based civic education initiatives in Hawaii's public schools, based on recommendations from the Department's Civic Learning and Engagement Task Force.

Report must be submitted to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the start of the 2026 Regular Session.

Report should detail efforts to integrate the principles of the Aloha Spirit (kindness, unity, humility, patience, love, and respect) into civics education and any additional strategies to enhance civic learning.

Aloha Spirit principles are recognized in Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 5-7.5 as emphasizing cooperation, empathy, and understanding as tools to counter political polarization and foster constructive civic dialogue.

Transmit certified copies of the resolution to the Governor and Superintendent of Education.
