Requests state authorities refrain from providing financial and regulatory assistance to LNG or other energy sources found harmful to the climate system and environment.

Calls on state government to implement scientific recommendations against investing in new fossil fuel projects and redirect resources toward transitioning to safe, green renewable energy.

Cites methane as a greenhouse gas more than 80 times more powerful than carbon dioxide, responsible for approximately 30 percent of global temperature rise since the industrial revolution.

Directs certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Governor, Attorney General, Chair of the Board of Land and Natural Resources, Director of the Office of Planning and Sustainable Development, and all county mayors.
