Honors and commends Herb Lee, Jr. for his contributions to education, cultural preservation, and community development in Hawaii upon his retirement.

Recognizes Lee's service as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Pacific American Foundation since 2018, which has benefited over 150 schools and trained over 6,000 teachers since its establishment in 1993.

Acknowledges Lee's role in establishing the Waikalua Loko Fishpond Preservation Society in 1995 to protect a 400-year-old ancient Hawaiian fishpond and his work developing Nā Hopena A'o, a cultural framework adopted by the Hawaii Board of Education in 2015.

Recognizes Lee's prior service as Chief of Staff to Honolulu City Council Chair Patsy T. Mink and his career as a recording artist and Hawaiian musician, including winning a Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award in 1986 and releasing five Hawaiian music albums.

Notes Lee's numerous prestigious awards including the Historic Hawai'i Foundation's Preservation Honor Award, Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce's 'Ō'ō Award, and recognition as a Cesar E. Chavez Champion of Change by President Obama in 2014.
