Requests the State Auditor to research requirements and parameters for implementing a law tying legislator base salaries to median teacher salaries in Hawaii

Directs the Auditor to examine jurisdictions that have established laws or regulations connecting legislator salaries to other government positions

Requires the Auditor to submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2026 Regular Session convenes

Argues that legislators should maintain economic connection to public servants and that teacher and legislator roles share similar schedules, constituent contact, and public service demands

Directs transmittal of the resolution to the Auditor and Chairperson of the Commission on Salaries
