• University of Hawaii at Manoa employs 0.5 psychiatrists and 4.5 psychologists for 20,048 students (ratio of 1 staff to 4,010 students), far below the recommended 1 to 1,000-1,500 student ratio.

• The House urges the University of Hawaii to implement a homeless student stability and housing resource program and use results from a 2025 Basic Needs Committee survey to develop plans addressing housing insecurity, mental health services, and resource awareness.
