• Requires all playgrounds in state parks, county parks, and on public school grounds to include special needs recreational playground equipment (including a wheelchair accessible swing set) by June 30, 2027.

• Establishes the Special Needs Recreational Playground Equipment Special Fund to be administered by the Department of Land and Natural Resources for acquisition, installation, and maintenance of accessible equipment.

• Appropriates unspecified sums from general revenues to the special fund for fiscal years 2025-2026 and 2026-2027.

• Allocates appropriated funds from the special fund to the Department of Land and Natural Resources (state parks), Department of Education (public schools), and counties (county parks).

• Requires all special needs recreational playground equipment to comply with the 2010 Americans with Disabilities Act Standards for Accessible Design and all applicable federal and state laws.
