Adds the superintendent of education and chairperson of the board of education as ex officio, nonvoting members to the school facilities authority board

Maintains the existing five voting members appointed by the governor, who must have an interest in public school facilities and include at least one member with five or more years of construction industry experience

Designees of the superintendent and board of education chairperson may serve in their place on the authority board

Voting members continue to serve without compensation but may be reimbursed for necessary expenses including travel

Takes effect July 1, 3000
