Establishes a Nuclear Energy Task Force within the Hawaii State Energy Office to study the feasibility of using advanced nuclear power technologies in Hawaii.

Task force composition includes the Chief Energy Officer (chair), Director of Health, Board of Land and Natural Resources chairperson, relevant legislative committee chairs, Public Utilities Commission representative, and University of Hawaii nuclear energy expert.

Task force shall evaluate benefits, risks, and barriers to advanced nuclear power development in Hawaii including regulatory, statutory, financial, social, and environmental factors, and identify potential short-term and long-term nuclear energy goals.

Requires interim report to legislature no later than 20 days before the 2026 regular session convening and final report no later than 40 days before the 2027 regular session convening.

Task force dissolves on December 31, 2027; effective date is July 1, 3000.
