Requires all public and private schools serving grades 6-12 that issue student identification cards to print mental health and suicide prevention hotline information on the cards beginning with the 2025-2026 school year

Cards must display the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (telephone and text number), Crisis Text Line (text HOME to 741741), and state or local mental health program contact numbers on either side

Schools with existing non-compliant student identification cards as of January 1, 2025 may continue issuing them until supplies are depleted

Requirements apply to cards issued for the first time to students and replacement cards for damaged or lost identification cards

Schools that knowingly violate this section face a fine of up to $100 per separate offense, enforced as a civil action
