Appropriates funds to the Department of Education for fiscal years 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 to expand and continue the Hoakea program (specific amount not yet filled in).

Hoakea program integrates core educational concepts in math, science, social studies, civics, leadership, and literacy with Native Hawaiian cultural practices, land-based learning, and environmental stewardship.

Program has reached over 3,200 students, nearly 1,300 teachers, and engaged more than 50 organizations statewide since inception, with growing demand for expansion.

Aims to address high absenteeism and lower educational achievement among Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander students by making education culturally relevant and engaging.

Effective date is July 1, 2050.
