Establishes a Child Welfare Task Force within the Department of Human Services to develop strategies and policy changes to transform and improve Hawaii's child welfare system, including consideration of recommendations from the Malama Ohana Working Group.

Task Force membership includes the Executive Director of the Office of Wellness and Resilience (as chairperson), Attorney General, Director of Human Services, Director of Human Resources Development, Insurance Commissioner, and invited members of the Malama Ohana Working Group.

Department of Human Services must fully cooperate with the Task Force by providing requested information in accordance with federal and state law and offering support and assistance as reasonably requested.

Task Force members serve without compensation but shall be reimbursed for necessary expenses including travel costs.

Task Force must submit a report with findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2026 regular session convening.
