Requires products labeled, marketed, or sold as "poi" containing kalo grown outside Hawaii to display a label stating "This product contains kalo grown outside Hawaii" and identify the origin of the kalo used.

Defines "kalo" as the cultivated plant taro (Colocasia esculenta) or one of four genera in the family Araceae: Colocasia, Xanthosoma, Alocasia, and Cyrtosperma.

Provides that federal law prevails if this section conflicts with federal regulations, and makes the provisions severable so that invalidity of one provision does not affect others.

Effective July 1, 3000.
