Department of Health directed to convene a task force to identify and develop minimum professional standards for community health worker training programs

Task force to include 14 members: a Department of Health representative (chair), one community health worker from each county, and representatives from Hawaii Public Health Institute, Hawaii Public Housing Authority, Med-QUEST Division, University of Hawaii-West Oahu, Kapiolani Community College, Healthcare Association of Hawaii, Hawaii Association of Health Plans, Papa Ola Lokahi, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Community Health Worker Alliance, Hawaii Primary Care Association, and a community-based grassroots organization

Task force members not subject to Hawaii Revised Statutes chapter 84 (conflict of interest laws) solely due to task force participation

Department of Health to provide administrative support to the task force

Task force required to submit report with recommendations and proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2026 Regular Session
