Urges the City and County of Honolulu to complete construction of the Waianae Police Station, which officially opened on May 20, 2016 but remains incomplete.

Waianae Police Station is not fully functional due to unfinished infrastructure despite $16 million already invested in the physical structure, which includes 16 holding cells, 60+ parking stalls, a 90-foot radio tower, and a full-service receiving desk.

Approximately $6 million in additional funding is needed to install necessary infrastructure to make the substation completely operational after being underutilized for roughly 10 years.

West Oahu experienced substantial increases in homicides during 2023 and 2024, with more than half of Oahu's homicides occurring in Honolulu Police Department District Eight (which covers West Oahu) by October 2024.

Requires certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu, the Managing Director, and the Chief of the Honolulu Police Department.
