Hawaii Technology Development Corporation is requested to initiate planning for a Health Care Technology Hub in Kakaako to accelerate health care technology adoption and develop Hawaii's health care workforce.

The proposed hub would be located at or near the Entrepreneurs Sandbox at 643 Ilalo Street in Honolulu, adjacent to the University of Hawaii at Manoa John A. Burns School of Medicine and University of Hawaii Cancer Center.

Hawaii Technology Development Corporation must consult with the University of Hawaii at Manoa John A. Burns School of Medicine, University of Hawaii Cancer Center, Hawaii Community Development Authority, and Hawaii Broadband and Digital Equity Office during planning.

Hawaii Technology Development Corporation is required to submit a conceptual plan report, including any proposed legislation, to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2026 Regular Session.

Certified copies of the resolution shall be transmitted to the Executive Director of Hawaii Technology Development Corporation, deans and directors of the medical institutions, and officials from the Hawaii Community Development Authority and Hawaii Broadband and Digital Equity Office.
