Requests Senate and House consumer protection committees to establish a legislative working group addressing the disposition of metal surgical implants remaining after cremation.

Working group must review mortuary operations in Hawaii and other states regarding collection, recycling, and sale of incombustible metal implants that generate revenue.

Requires recommendations for standardized contract provisions allowing family representatives to express preferences regarding metal implant disposition and potential donation of sale proceeds to nonprofits.

Working group composition includes two legislative co-chairs, representatives from the Department of Health and Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, three senior citizen/family advocacy representatives, and three funeral industry representatives.

Mandates submission of findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation to the Legislature by November 30, 2025, with facilitation support from a Judiciary-affiliated community mediation center.
