SCR 62 Summary

• Director of Health is requested to convene a Water Fluoridation Working Group to determine best practices and address obstacles to fluoridating the State's drinking water.

• Working Group shall consist of the Director of Health (as Chairperson), plus representatives from water supply departments in Honolulu, Kauai, Maui, and Hawaii counties.

• Working Group must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2026 Regular Session.

• Working Group is requested to dissolve on June 30, 2026.

• Certified copies of the resolution shall be transmitted to the Director of Health and chief managers of each county's water supply department.
